My Bathroom Vanity Makeover

Hey, friends! So this past weekend was a HOT one! And here I thought it was supposed to be fall — oh, well. At least I got to get outside and do something that I have been dying to do for a long time!

I was able to paint my bathroom vanity this weekend!

Check out this builder basic bathroom vanity

I picked the gorgeous shade from Country Chic Paint called Sunday Tea.

I also used Hemp Oil as a sealer, but we’ll get more into that later.

Before painting my vanity, I took everything off that could come off.

It’s much easier to paint furniture when you take it apart.

I took the cabinet doors and drawers outside to paint them, since it was such a lovely day.

I did two coats of paint.

I let the paint dry for a couple of hours and then I applied a layer of Hemp Oil.

This stuff is fantastic! I love the smell and it provides a nice smooth finish over the paint.

It’s all natural and all you have to do is brush it on your piece and allow to dry for 12 hours, then use a lint-free cloth to remove any excess oil.

Before we get to the reveal pics, take a look at what I did for drawer pulls.

I found these guys by the side of the road. Someone had tossed them out in a bag on garbage day.

They needed a modern makeover, though — I gave them a blast of paint with some Rustoleum PAINTER’S TOUCH Ultra Cover Paint in Flat Black.

I also shared a neat little tip through video on my Facebook page, click here to check that out!

Then all that was left was to put everything back together!

And voila….

A lot better, right?

If you have a bathroom vanity in your home that could use a little TLC, I would check out the gorgeous colours from Country Chic Paint!

If you love this makeover, be sure and pin it to your Pinterest boards!
